Club Practice afternoon/evenings for members only

Our format for our practice days are as follows....

Our 2-3pm session on Sundays will be for the less confident horse/rider, who likes to ride in a safe and more controlled environment. This will be a structured session where you will be put with an instructor to go through the obstacles in groups. 

If you are riding in this group then we would love some help with the set up of the obstacles before the start of the session.

The 3-4pm session on Sundays will be for the more confident horse/rider. There will be no instructors on the ground at this session but there will be some time set aside for questions on the obstacles, you must feel confident with horses moving faster around you.

If you are riding in this group then we would love some help to put the obstacles away at the end of the session.

You may choose to ride in one or the other session.

Our 6pm-7pm session onThursdays are open to all members, there will be no organised instruction, riders and horses must be confident in the obstacle paddock.

​​​​​​​Content during our practice days/evenings will be dependent on numbers.

You can find our grounds beside the dressage arena's, use the main entrance to the Kaikohe Showgrounds. The main gate will be unlocked approx. 30 mins before the start time.

If the Practice session is going to have specific content, this is sent in an email to members beforehand.

These afternoons/evenings are a great way to get your horse out in a fun and supportive environment,  we are a friendly group and it is a great opportunity to get out and ride with others, practice and learn about the obstacles and just have a go with your horse at the place you are at in your own training, this may be in hand or ridden.

Our practice days are weather permitting so keep an eye on the website/fb/emails for any cancellations.
